To support for the annual “Celebration of Life” Family Reunion for NICU graduates from Tisch and Bellevue, and their families.

To implement a fitness program for teenage and young-adult cancer survivors, to learn safe & effective fitness routines.
$15,000 Linda van Schaick
To continue providing age-, development- and language-appropriate books for the youngest and neediest pediatric patients at Bellevue Hospital.

To provide language-specific DVD’s and books to educate pediatric patients and families undergoing testing at the Cochlear Implant Center. And to fund three additional loaner hearing aids for children.

To continue providing Thera-Togs, custom-fit undergarments that help improve posture and balancing in children with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.

To provide continued funding for adapted recreation programs, including horseback riding, yoga, swimming and dance, for children with disabilities at the Rusk Institute.

Research, Training and Outreach:

To purchase a special camera to enhance their research into visualizing the cellular distribution of proteins in the developing heart, with the goal of understanding the physiology of the developing heart.

To enable NYU Langone Medical Center to host the first pediatric echocardiography conference in the greater New York Metro region.

To continue funding research into the prevention of medication errors by parents and caregivers.

To help support a one-year fellowship in the Vascular Anomalies Training program and to assist with the student education fund. And to complete the creation of two age-appropriate children’s books addressing vascular anomaly birthmarks.

To purchase a second Olympic Cool Cap system which provides selective brain cooling for full-term infants, to prevent death or neurologic injury. The Hospital will match these funds to complete the total purchase price.

To help fund medical services and devices, such as hearing tests, dentures, implants, and arm immobilizers, for children-in-need undergoing treatment at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery.

To purchase light-weight wheelchairs and prone standers , as well as support family education workshops for children with traumatic brain injury, to facilitate a smoother transition to home, school and the community.

To purchase additional adaptive bicycles for children with physical disabilities, enhancing their mobility and socialization.

To continue funding research that monitors tissue-oxygen levels in vital organ systems during NICU procedures. These will be used for premature neonates in the NICU.

To purchase two additional Giraffe Omnibeds, combination radiant warmer isolettes, which provide the optimal environment for premature babies.

To purchase new equipment to improve audiologic evaluations in children at Tisch Hospital.

To purchase additional Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) units to improve strength, tone and mobility in children with special needs.
