Casino Night to Benefit Hassenfeld Center Sells Out

More than 730 guests packed the Edison Ballroom on Nov. 12 for Adults in Toyland Casino Night. The popular annual event raised more than $640,000 for the Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Langone Medical Center.

It was the first time that the KiDS of NYU Associates Committee partnered in sponsoring the event with the Hassenfeld Committee. Both groups are composed primarily of young professionals from various corporate, cultural and philanthropic backgrounds who are committed to supporting children’s services at NYULMC.

Proceeds will help fund integrative health therapies and pediatric cancer research at the Hassenfeld Center, and to build the Department of Pediatrics by attracting top physicians, enhancing key programs, and creating a supportive environment for children and families throughout the Medical Center.

Event co-chairs were Susan Block Casdin, Morgan Hertzan, Steven Jaffe, Patti Kim, Kelly Kennedy Mack, Harlan Fabrikant Saroken, Josh Laterman and Michael Weaver.

Guest enjoyed a lively casino setting presented by Caesars Atlantic City; music by guest DJ Pedro Andrade; and a silent auction that included walk-ons for the hit TV series \"Ugly Betty\" and \"How I Met Your Mother.\"
